Hey Karrot family,
With the 2022 Winter Olympics happening right now, we wanted to host our own games here at Karrot! 🏂🏒
Who’s up for a friendly neighbourhood competition? You don’t have to be a world class athlete to participate in these Olympic games. 😉
🏘 YOUR TEAM: Your Karrot neighbourhood (eg. Bendale, Scarborough)
💪🏻 GOAL: To be one of the top 3 neighbourhoods that post the most items on Karrot between Feb 10 - Feb 16
🏆 PRIZE: Winners will be chosen randomly from each of the winning neighbourhoods to receive a $10 Starbucks gift card. The higher the rank the more winners will be chosen! AND an additional winner will be added for every 100 postings your neighbourhood makes.
Gold - 3 winners (+ additional winners)
Silver - 2 winners (+ additional winners)
Bronze - 1 winner (+ additional winners)
The rules are simple:
✔ Support your neighbourhood by listings items with the “🥇” emoji in the title
✔ Comment on this post for a chance to be chosen as one of the winners
✔ Wait for the announcement on Feb 17th! The top 3 neighbourhoods with the most postings will be announced along with the winners from each neighbourhood.
Check this post throughout the week to see which neighbourhoods are in the lead. Encourage your neighbours and show your community pride below! Do you think your neighbourhood has what it takes to bring home a medal? 🥇🥈🥉
Terms and Conditions:
- Users who upload items between Feb 10 0:00 - Feb 16 23:59 will be counted as valid participants.
- Users can only win one prize.
- This promotion is only open to signed up & verified users in Ontario.
- Prize winners may be asked for a short interview from the Karrot Team.
- Listings must include pictures of actual items and an accurate description.
- Listings must follow Karrot's guidelines and policies. Items listed in Karrot's Prohibited Items will be excluded.
- Engagement may be monitored to verify the validity of the completed transaction. Listings found to be fake or in-genuine will be disqualified.
- Winners will be announced as an in-app post on Feb 17th. Each winner will get a chat message from the Karrot Team to redeem their prize.
- Karrot reserves the right to modify, cancel and limit any promotion at any time and without prior notice.

Is it against the rules to delete and repost items?
I’ve had several ads for weeks with zero interest it seems (while the same items generate responses and sometimes sell on other similar apps).
Just for the record; I was planning to do this anyways to move my ads back up in the visibility department….but now Im worried this would be a shady thing to do…
I def like the idea of contests to encourage posting ads (and it’s actually brilliant on the part of the app’s PR team, since inviting friends that live in our area to download this app is an obvious way to help your team win).
You can try boost function rather than deleting it. L You can boost your posting in menu. three dots at the top right
I look forward to and enjoy these events. I have entered all the previous ones. I am entering this one as well and have posted over 15 items and will continue to post as I find new items to post. This one I think is my favourite. 🏅🥇🥈🥉
