Technics SL-B1 belt-driven manual turntable. New belt put on at the beginning of this year. It's missing in the photos but I DO have a headshell for it; although this table WILL NEED a new cartridge and stylus. Feature-wise it's about as simple as you can get. Even if it was most basic model of it's lineup back in it's day; it's still got standard headshell with an adjustable counterweight and anti-skate, which is more than can be said about many modern entry-level decks like your Crosley's or your $200 AT-LP60's. Simple, but a nice quality machine from back in vinyl's heyday. I've been using it throughout the year with an AT-VM93E cartridge and functionally it's great, sounds amazing. It's fully manual, no automatic start or stopping. On/off switch, 33 & 45, with pitch control. The hydraulic fluid in the arm-lifter is still good, and it's action of lowering onto the record is gentle and smooth. The only thing actually wrong with this machine is that the hinges for the dust cover were broken when I got it. I had a different pair of hinges from a different table where the plastic just slots into it, so I sanded the back of the plastic flat to fit in. I believe a frankensteined version could be made out of the two types that would work just fine, but I couldn't finish that project. Without doing all that however, the dust cover just simply needs to be lifted off entirely and placed to the side while listening. Not the hugest deal, when you've gotta THIS WILL ALSO NEED A PREAMP if you plan to connect it to a modern system that doesn't have a special "PHONO" input. I have one that I can include for an extra $15.
