prickly pear (native) cactus

    Home & Garden ·

    $5

Still dormant but needed a transplant for landscaping. Asking five dollars per plant. The present wrinkly appearance is due to natural dormancy from their former shaded location where they hadn't emerged from winter hybernation among leaf litter yet. This is normal for spring time. Plant in a sunny location outdoors and they'll be your new native fruit bearing cactus this summer and forever. Help a sensitive native species out. Yay permaculture! Add to the edge of your personal food forest. If you are nervous about taking on a dormant cactus, do some research or go try heemans - they expanded their Ontario Native selection this year :) My meet up location is set to the office building at 111 Waterloo Street, but I'm also open to using either Family Circle Restaurant front doors or outside Spirit River Canabliss because they have so many cameras!
