This is a vintage Italian brass biscuit storage barrel, a Regency style Brass Box, with ribbed design, scalloped edges, hinged lid, size 6" x 5". it was made around 1920 - 1949. Very useful and originally designed as a biscuit holder, however, this box has a variety of uses, from jewelry to bathroom storage. It would even work great as a tea caddy in the kitchen.
