Carbon steel is like the better sibling of cast iron. it's 1/5 of the weight, 5x more reactive to heat. and incredibly easy to clean. With use and proper care (very minimal effort) this pan maintains a natural non stick surface that won't be damaged by metal tools, and can be re-applied whenever necessary! The color will change with use, hence why in the images it looks a little spotty, but the appearance has no effect on performance or cleanliness.
