I recently divided my rhubarb plant and have one extra crown left. For the rhubarb connoisseurs out there, I'm sorry I can't tell you which cultivar this plant is, except that it is edible. The mother plant was established over 15 years ago by an old gardener who owned the lot before us. This is a good sized crown that has continued to thrive since I potted it up. Rhubarb likes at least 5-6 hours of sun each day and well-draining soil (they are actually pretty hardy plants). You'll want to give it about 3 feet of space. Wait a season or two before harvesting and you will have access to fresh rhubarb every summer for years (decades?) to come.
